As we see in our roads everyday, that we(Indians) 99.9% always stops after the ‘stop’ line in the traffic signals. Or we stop our vehicles only on the pedestrian crossing lines.
We already have rules in our Motor Vehicle Act Section 177, which says “First Offence: Rs. 300/- Second offence or subsequent offence: Rs. 600/-”

Still this happens everyday in our roads, and accidents happens as usual. How do we stop this?
Here is my idea. Maybe a dictatorial one.
We can implement automated spikes exactly in the stop line.
The above can pop-up once the signal becomes Red. We have to put up indications on the road to look for traffic spikes. In the beginning, this will put holes in most of the tires of bikes and cars. Hence we can start a costly puncture shop (for each wheel 300 rupees), near those traffic signal which has spikes installed. We don’t have to charge the signal violators, as they have to pay for the punctured tires. If they have stepney installed in their cars, atleast we have wasted their valuable time, which will make them think next time.
